Speaking to Farah Khan on a reality show, Ayesha confirmed the long-standing rumour and also shared details about that harrowing day on the sets that could have cost her, her life. Sharing the harrowing experience from the song shoot, Ayesha said, “We were shooting a dance sequence on a railway track, and Salman was on the track to my right, filming his part. Music was playing, and we were told that the train had been halted and would not move until our set was completed.”
However, as the actress recalled, things took a dangerous turn when the train started moving amidst the commotion of the shoot. On hearing the oncoming train, Salman swooped in and, “He just pulled me away with such force that I felt like I would fly off. Just a few minutes later, the train passed,” Ayesha recounted.
Ayesha Jhulka appeared in many hit films during the 1990s when safety protocols on the film sets were not strict, and the actor recalled one such incident when her life was saved in the nick of time. In a recent interview, Ayesha recalled how Salman Khan saved her life during the shoot of their film Kurbaan. Ayesha shared that they were shooting on a railway track and when suddenly, a train sped towards them and Salman instinctively pulled Ayesha from the track.
The beautiful actress began her film career in the late 1980s and made her Bollywood debut in 1991 with the film Qurbaan, where she starred alongside Salman Khan. However, she gained true recognition with a 1992 film featuring Aamir Khan. This 90s actress paid a heavy price for choosing the wrong film, which ultimately derailed her career. Once a leading lady opposite superstars like Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar, and Aamir Khan, she was soon relegated to side roles. Even industry superstar Mithun Chakraborty’s career was nearly affected by the same film.
