It’s no surprise that Salman Khan is making headlines—after all, he’s set to return to the big screen with an Eid 2025 release after a long time. The superstar is gearing up for the highly anticipated Sikandar, produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and co-starring Rashmika Mandanna. While the excitement around Sikandar is at an all-time high, a throwback story from the sets of Salman’s 2014 hit Kick has resurfaced.
When we think of actor and screenwriter Saurabh Shukla, it’s his powerful on-screen presence that stands out, whether in comedic roles or intense dramas. But little is known about the creative force he shares his life with: filmmaker, writer, and poet, Barnali Ray Shukla. She is a woman of many talents and an exceptional storyteller. With a career rooted in both literature and cinema, she has created a body of work that prioritises meaningful narratives over commercial spectacle.
Veteran actor Saurabh Shukla, in a recent interview, recalled how he was once told to act in a certain way by an assistant on the set of Kick. He shared that an assistant walked up to him and asked him to act ‘scared’, as it was Salman Khan who was in front of him. However, Khan intervened and asked the assistant to not interfere with Shukla’s method of acting.
